          The canary is the domestiquâtes form of the Canary Serin (Serinus canaria).The selection of these birds in the breeding has created many breeds and varieties by focusing on three aspects: singing, color or position.


Description :
Breeding canaries are usually yellow, with white ends. As does one evokes the "canary yellow".  But there are many variations.
The canary can be divided into 2 broad categories lipochrome the canary and the melanin canary.
High races today have sizes ranging from 11.5 cm (gloster) to 20 cm.
The color canary has a size from 13 to 14 cm.
They can live up to 6 to 10 years depending on the species, some even reach the age of 20 years.

Food:

The canary is satisfied with a simple mixture of seeds, consisting for example as follows: 71% canary seed, Niger 5%, 5% shuttles seeds, flax seeds 5%, peeled oats 8%, 2% hemp, perilla 2%, 2% chia. This mixture is commercially available and may be modified by adding seeds depending on the period. But it must be given as salad, grated carrots, apples, ... During playback, you have to complete it by the paste to the egg. During molting, there is a supplementary scheme "special molting" to add to the usual mix.
